Though the whole thing sounds like another troll job by the rapper, Lil Nas X claims he's entering the "Christian era" of his career and asks followers to take him seriously with his recent move.
LNX showcased his journey into Christianity on Thursday by posting a dark teaser and music video to his social media accounts. The song features lines like "Father stretch my hands" and allusions to feeling alone.
The sentence "If God Doesn't Exist Then Who's Laughing At Us?" was also captioned on his shirt.
Supporters weren't convinced that it wasn't another typical Lil Nas X troll job. Recall that LNX previously claimed to be pregnant in order to promote his new album and to be changing into a woman; he then apologized to the transgender community for these claims.
Mr. Old Town Road. We will never forget that he once advertised fake Nike Satan sneakers to promote his record! Holy Rollers. LNX retaliated angrily, defending both his artistic expression and his right to be gay on his knees, a cowboy, or a satanic figure. Only God has the authority to condemn him!
If he wants to appeal to the general public and gospel charts, he'll definitely need to hit the pulpit a little harder!
