Lamiez Mischa Born on June 12, 1992, Miriam Holworthy-Morule (née Holworthy) is a philanthropist, businesswoman, radio presenter, television personality, record producer, and DJ from South Africa. Her most well-known role is as host of Live AMP, a music program on SABC 1.
Born in Eersterust on June 12, 1992, Lamiez Holworthy grew up in Laudium. She first attended Kwaggasrand Primary, then Sunnyside Primary, and Andrew Anthony Primary.
From eighth to ninth grade, she also attended Pro Arte Alphen Park. She graduated from Laudium Secondary in 2009, and in 2012, she enrolled at the Boston Media House to study media.
In 2010, Lamiez began working as an underground DJ jockey while perfecting her mixing techniques. She began her career in high school as a guest presenter on KMTV on Soweto TV. Later, she became the host of the Tshwane TV program Living The Dream, a lifestyle program focused on South Africa.
She has disclosed that following an incident during her audition in which her car was destroyed and her deejay equipment was taken, she nearly quit the entertainment business. She finally got her big break on SABC 1's Live Amp after seven years.
She has been recognized for the last two years as the official DJ for Miss South Africa and as the official full-time DJ for Sun City Resort. She started co-hosting the Metro FM dance program Penthouse Session in April 2021 with DJ and presenter Lulo Cafe, a South African. She hosted the 27th South African Music Awards in July of 2021.
Her debut single, "Sthokoze," featuring the Lowkeys and Drip Gogo, was released in August 2021. She received a nomination later that year for the South African Amapiano Awards' Best Amapiano Female DJ Act.
She is stepmother to the daughter of South African rapper Khuli Chana, whom she married; he had a daughter before they were married.
